Wikipedia, the free ency­clo­pe­dia is hav­ing a birthday.

Jan­u­ary 15 is known as Wikipedia Day to Wikipedi­ans. On this date in the year 2001, the wiki-based Wikipedia project went pub­lic after spend­ing five days on Nupedia.

The kind of col­lab­o­ra­tion that the web was built to deliver a mea­sure of our human­ity and sto­ry­telling. Share and sup­port the work by one of the long­stand­ing efforts of Neti­zens. A free ency­clo­pe­dia with over 2,176,875 arti­cles in 2008.
